North America oldest hockey club makes History for both its sport and its country.
The Canadiens are the oldest hockey club in North America and arguably the most famous of them all. With its 24 Stanley cups, it has made the pride of French Canadians vis-à-vis their English Canadian counterparts and American neighbors. The sporting achievements of the Club are literally part of French Canada's History.
Bluesponge built the ‘Ourhistory’ platform to unfold the Club’s centennial story -and History- to a younger generation of fans who have not witnessed the legend or are not fully aware of the depth of its historical identity. It also warranties the place of the Club at the heart of Canada's heritage and, consequently its future prosperity. Don’t we all know that Hockey is a religion in Quebec after all?
‘Ourhistory’ aims to tell the story of eveything Habs, just as wikipedia wants to tell the story of humanity. Bluesponge segmented the Club’s story in 10 modules that present, preserve and enrich its heritage. The interconnected modules are built around biographies of some 800 players, a media player (for photos and videos), a time line, a tribute to the Club’s countless trophies as well as stats and commemorative stories. Together, they give access to the intimate history of the Club.
‘Ourhistory’ clearly reminds everyone who would still has doubts that hockey IS the Canadiens.
